Marian (Kail) Petersen, 64, of Momence, IL unexpectedly passed away on March 15, 2025. She was the loving wife of Ted Petersen III and devoted mother of Samuel, stepmother to Theodore IV (Jordan) and Garrett. Survived by Kail brothers Daniel (Maureen), Robert (Karyn), John (Marianne), James (Jennifer), Joseph (Rosaline), and sisters Anna Mary Rosenstern (Phillip) and Elizabeth Arnita (Shadi), and sisters-in-law Sonia and Cynthia, and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Kail, and brothers Thomas, William, Gregory, and Martin, and sister-in-law Christian.
Marian graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a linguistics degree. She was an excellent gourmet cook and loved entertaining family and friends. One of her greatest joys was providing delicious homemade meals for her son Sam and his college friends. Marian trusted Jesus Christ with all of her heart. She firmly believed in the words written i
