Elaine E. (Mohnk) Niemeyer, 89, of Grant Park, IL, died on Monday, June 3, 2024, at her residence in Grant Park, IL. She was born in Chicago, IL, on March 23, 1935, to Henry and Elsie (Metasch) Mohnk. She was baptized on April 13, 1935, by Rev. Wm. Grieve at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Tinley Park, IL, and later confirmed on April 10, 1949, under the instruction of Rev. Menszing at Trinty Lutheran Church.
Elaine married Edwin Niemeyer on September 1, 1956. Rev. Carl Hoeh, officiated the ceremony at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tinley, Park, IL. Edwin preceded her in death on September 9, 2001.
As a longtime resident of Grant Park, IL, Elaine was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church. For many years, Elaine helped her husband in their farming operation, and later devoted her life to helping family members and others through her reflexology business.
